Where did it all begin?

Happy Tails owner Lisa Brooks has been working in the dog industry since the early 1970s. She has always had a particular soft spot for huskies having bred and successfully shown her own Siberian huskies and ran sled dog teams for fun and competition. Having pioneered Canada’s first cage-free dog resort in Huntsville, Muskoka for the past 24 years she has now turned her attention to helping those less fortunate by creating an extensive sanctuary for huskies in need. These huskies have come from a variety of backgrounds; some have even been flown in from overseas to receive the special care and attention that Lisa can offer. Here they are allowed to run, play and live the life they were meant to live. Below are the bios for all our current rescue huskies.. or the DREAM TEAM, as Lisa calls them!
